Job Description: Apex General Contractors, Inc. is seeking experienced wood framers for a prevailing wage project starting on June 16th, 2025. The project is to take place in Port Hueneme for the Ocean View School District, and is estimated to take approximately 8 weeks. Basic scope for this project includes: • Masking / protection of interior finishes • Selective demolition of interior ceilings (Drywall & T-Bar) • Selective demolition of roof sheathing • Structural blocking and curb framing for HVAC units • Patchback of struct 1 plywood roof sheathing • Patchback of interior ceilings • Clean Up • There are approximately forty (40) RTU’s within our scope, all of which need to be framed complete this summer, including all associated patchback and clean-up. • This project is prevailing wage, carpenters will make $77.82/hour before July 1st, and there is an increase in wage rates after July 1st. (This hourly rate applied to prevailing wage projects only) • If you are to work with us on other projects, experienced carpenters can expect to make $33.00 - $36.00/hour on non-prevailing wage projects. Experience in other trades listed below will help increase hourly rates.
