Maintenance Electrician - 2nd Shift

Job Purpose Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of existing electrical system using electrical, mechanical and processing skills. The Maintenance Electrician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all electrical equipment and building. Key Responsibilities and Duties • Follows all established safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) for area assigned, company policies and procedures and recognized practices. • Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. • Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, and other electrical components. • Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. • Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors. • Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. • Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems, Servos, Drives and Robotic Controllers. • Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records. • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required. • Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery. Experience, Educational and Technical Qualifications Maintenance Electrician should possess a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business.
