Construction Safety Manager

Job Title: Construction Safety Manager Job Description This role requires a safety manager who will periodically respond to a site to intervene when there is an increase in safety incidents. The individual will perform a “deep dive” to help facilitate an improvement strategy. Additionally, the manager will support the development of EHS programs, coordinate the implementation of SMPs, and support other high-level programmatic procedures and policies. Responsibilities • Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems. • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and resolve personal grievances. • Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products. • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. • Participate in initial orientation in Redmond, WA with all site EHS Managers and Project Executive. • Attend initial Project Executive – Safety Manager workshop to present objectives and program and strategy. • Participate in periodic Safety Management – Project Executive meetings every 2-3 months, held in Redmond or various job sites. Essential Skills • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one's time. • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
