About the position The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Plumber at the Dixon Correctional Center within the maintenance department. This role is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems within the facility. The ideal candidate will be a team player, task-oriented, and possess a keen attention to detail. The position involves performing journey-level plumbing work, which includes installing, maintaining, and repairing sanitary fixtures, devices, and assemblies, as well as fluid transmission systems, sewage systems, and piping or tubing systems in compliance with the applicable laws, rules, and codes of the State of Illinois. A licensed plumber with a strong background in service and repair environments is highly desirable.
