As a Display Person - Construction, you'll be responsible for fabricating and producing quality exhibits for assigned clients. Ideally, the right candidate will have experience within the exhibit / trade show industry. This role comes with a unique challenge and set of responsibilities. Display Person - Construction Responsibilities • Have general knowledge of and ability to work with most of the following materials: lumber, plywood, wallboard, plastics, glass, metals, electrical materials, cloth, paper, photographic blowups, cardboard and drapery materials. • Ability to work from layouts or drawings with dimensions and instructions. • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in the use & set-up of bench, power and hand tools. • Some general knowledge of blueprint reading. • Understand and work from layouts or drawings with dimensions and instructions. • Work on a job from start to finish with proper instructions and supervision. • Some layout and supervision ability. • Capable of working with or supervising helper in construction. • Construction of high quality displays and cabinets. • Capable of supervision and setup of exhibits and displays. • Conduct him/herself in a businesslike manner at all times, using good judgment when coming in contact with customers. • Provide mentorship and direction to assigned personnel. Qualified Candidate must have extensive carpentry experience and capability of working with little supervision. Candidate must be able to assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and run project autonomously. An Intermediate Carpenter will participate in the development of basic level carpenters. Intermediate Development objectives include; 1) expanding capability from residential to commercial and multi-family projects; (2) competence leaded and self-performing emergency services (3) increased material knowledge and proficiency with various carpentry subsets of framing, cabinetry, trim, etc. This position is the level 3 in the Progressive Carpenter track.
